We are offering the AcuQuit Laser to Quit smoking program to Perth.
Tobacco use was responsible for an estimated 1,673 deaths of Western Australians in 2013, and 19,196 hospitalisations in 2015. Perth has an approximate 16% smoking rate according to the Healthy Communities report on Tobacco smoking rates across Australia from 2011–12. Perth North Metro, Perth Central and Perth East Metro all reported a 16% rate of smoking while Perth South Coastal reported an 18% cigarette smoking rate.
Some 31 per cent of single parents unable or unwilling to kick the habit compared with 12.7 per cent of the general population. Latest figures show that five per cent of WA secondary school students aged 12-17 years reported that they were regular smokers and 10 per cent of women reported smoking during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy, with nine per cent reported smoking after the first 20 weeks of pregnancy.
We offer laser therapy to help you quit smoking and quit for good.

For information on how AcuQuit® works click here.
The treatment has been designed to reduce the physical symptoms of nicotine addiction and withdrawal (such as cravings) to enable people to quit smoking. The overall treatment time is approximately 30 minutes.
Our treatment is drug free and we do not use any quit smoking hypnosis or quit smoking hypnotherapy techniques.
There are many research articles available examining Acupuncture’s role in addiction and the potential for treatment to reduce and eliminate dependency.
Laser Acupuncture had an 84% success rate in recent research (Lim 2018) with many participants reporting they no longer had the urge to smoke.
Laser acupoint stimulation does indeed modify the physical symptoms of withdrawal and makes it possible for motivated persons to succeed in overcoming habitual smoking of tobacco, concluded a double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized study.
The most recent Cochrane Systematic Review (White 2014) states that the 2008 Kerr study on laser stimulation is strongly positive at both short and long-term outcomes.
Earlier research had shown that Laser Acupuncture had a 71% success rate in heavy smoking patients.
This external research suggests that Laser Acupuncture treatments and protocols may provide beneficial outcomes however other papers did not have the same findings so the evidence is regarded as mixed. The AcuQuit treatment is unique and so treatment methods and results will vary from available research. We encourage patients to make an informed decision knowing that success cannot be guaranteed with our treatment.
